I don’t have an update today. I just wanted to paste in my post on FB from 4 years ago yesterday:
“Had a good visit with mom today as we prepare (emotionally), pack and practice how it will work to take mom to her new forever home: the Memory Unit of a local nursing and rehab center. Mom was and is too dangerous to herself these days. She lives a block from the intersection of a major highway and Main Street in her town, and just the physical security of keeping her safe was too much for my stepdad to continue with. He fought the good fight, keeping her at home for nearly 10 years, partially with the help of family and of SeniorAge, the local area agency on aging. However, today, 10/10/18, the time was right. There is no easy way to work this out, so we will just wing it and do our best to make the transition go smoothly.”
If you get a chance, hop on to the All Posts tab of Digital Cornbread and look deeply into the Wayback Machine to 4 years ago. Click on 80 on the number of pages at the bottom and it will show you the oldies. I started compiling the ole blog in March, but the content ws from this month of 2018. I will never be the same…

Update: Not much…going by in an hour to see mom and probably play some Alan Jackson Hymns or similar. No cure. No great breakthroughs. Challenging drama in the research community. But hope is still eternal…
One side note: PLEASE do not consider this political. I have nothing against the president as a person although we have a few disagreements policy-wise, I would say graciously. I am sure he is a very nice man…
However, if he has dementia…and who knows if he does…and you wonder what difference 4 years can make, here it is:
Terrible stinking disease 🙁
