For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” -Romans 1:17
Unfortunately I have no report for this weekend. I have been around a lot of folks the last few days and don’t want to bring anything I may have come in contact with to the nursing home. I haven’t had any confirmation that I have been around anyone who is contagious, but I know around a dozen who are …so I enter a Catch-19. Do I visit and take a chance or give it a few more days? As of right now, I am going to wait one more full day and shoot for Wednesday unless I have other information presented that makes it unwise.
In the past, I have referred to this Catch-19/22 as the devil you know versus the devil you don’t know. Why? Because loneliness kills too. However, my isolated step-dad is still visiting for lunch every day, so I need to rid my soul of the guilt of not visiting despite the fact that I can. It is hard…and so is this terrible disease. 🙁

Last note: If you want to join our virtual caregivers support group, it meets tomorrow at 5pm and will probably run long. The in-person groups are on hold until the next Covid wave dwindles. Email me at mark.applegate@senioragemo.org and I will get you the link tomorrow when I email the group. Thank you all!
