and some less glowing good news:
We have been waiting for this and, as hope, the drug is approved in a more traditional way and will be covered by CMS. There will be a registry and required monitoring and followups…but it is great news! There are more drugs in this class on their way down the pipeline as well! We have now entered the treatment era!
There will be more to post as it come in, so stay tuned…

Update: Mom has had a competing win/loss of being alert and more awake with having deep congestion, a constant worry. Yesterday she was so alert she could respond to a few things with me. I would raise my eyebrows, like I do when I see the scale in the morning, and she would do the same. 🙂 She even smiled lightly a few times! 🙂 Sad as it is, this is a real piece of “communication” I haven’t had in many months. She is having more tremors, and pneumonia is always a worry…but I will take it as a win.

Thank you all! I am off for a birthday weekend relaxation time. The Longest Day is done and we are now entering Walk to End Alzheimer’s season. 🙂 But first, a weekend of Zzzzz. 😉
Thank God for everyone that made this possible. Now our neurologist must move and get on board. Now!!
Sad that PHPs and some neurologists are hesitating. They want an easy answer…a single pill that makes everything just go away. However, we are entering the treatment era now. 🙂
