Happy Monday to one and all! I am too booked to blog today, but I did have one micro-point:
Have you ever noticed how easy it is to get hurt in the same spot over and over? Bite your tongue and immediately it becomes a bite magnet! While running this weekend, I kicked my ankle with my other foot and scraped it pretty badly. Now I have hit it 20 times since, while running, walking, showering, talking on the phone, etc…. Everything seems to revolve around that sore spot.
That is dementia caregiving too. (Not that I resent it, even for a minute, but…)
Having a good time. Thwomp. Hit the ouchie.
Stressed out? Thwomp. Hit it again.
One crazy dictator attacks a free nation nearby. Thwomp Thwack…got it coming and going.
Eat a nice meal…then remember that mom used to love that meal. (Baseball bat swing) THWACKWOMP
and, Oh My(!) does it get sore!
Caregiving, even from afar, is a never-ending whack. Thank you sooooooooo much to all of my 36/7/365(6) caregiving friends for your dedication (Yes, 36 hours…) and your thick skin and high pain tolerance!. Your ankle must be huge….or at least as big as your heart!

Update: Nothing much new on the mom front. My sis got to see her this weekend and I next get to visit tomorrow. 🙂 She is still a super blessing even being pretty unresponsive.
