Nice visit with mom tonight. She is doing fair. Her terrible forehead bruising is turning yellow, a stepping stone to going away. 🙂 It doesn’t bother her, but it is a constant reminder of bad nights passed. Her speech was fair today…some word salad, some semi lucid chat. She was in a pretty darn good mood for the most part, which always makes me happy. She did well enough through the full moon, which is a huge praise. She has had some oddball vomiting the last 3 days, but has no other symptoms of flu or medicine reactions, so they may just be one offs. Her piano playing skill, sadly, is slowly fading away…but is still as beautiful as ever unbound from the constraints of being the “correct” notes.
One little event of interest today: she took her pills, but one she pulled out after it dissolved a tad and chucked it. I chased it down, cleaned it off, and snuck it in a bite of her tan mush. She finished it off. 🙁 One Sweet 17 member, one of my favs, saw the whole event and said the longest cogent phrase I have ever heard from her, chuckling and spouting ” You lernt somethin’ today”. Lol. Indeed I did little Mrs. B. I lernt those stinkin’ pills are hard to keep track of once flicked and even harder to clean off, but the chances of having a terrible night is a lot higher if she missed that pill than if it was dirty despite me scrubbing it with a towel.
Always lernin’ at the ole memory unit. 😉
I love Mrs. B. and I sure love mom.
