I am going to have to switch to weekday-only posts for a while. My home internet is smelling a lot like the 1980’s Internet. Prodigy internet seemed so fast at the time… 🙁 If something comes up in the meantime, I will still post on the weekends, possibly from a different locale. I would do a GOFUNDME hoping for help getting exorbitant better internet but, honestly, I would rather you give to SeniorAge. I can work around dial-up speed. 🙁
Had a great time at the Alzheimer’s Association community forum yesterday, then a wonderful visit with mom. She is doing good, but had a darker skin tone than I am used to and her eyes were a tad bloodshot. Not jaundiced, as far as I can remember, just looked a tad hung over but without the booze. I will follow up today.
Mom was the master of rearranging boxes in our U-Haul during nearly each one of the million times we moved in our 28+ years married. This weekend we completely spring cleaned the garage and I could have used her ninja box stacking skills. Unfortunately, at the time when she used to help us move, I whined that she always had me redo stacks of boxes. You know, though, the stuff never fell back then…
Now I just feel guilty and miss her already even though she is far from gone.

I love the cornbread photo. 🙂 Interesting . . . the imprint others leave on our world . . . like fingerprints on our memories. Stacking boxes . . . Mom. She’s right there with you.
Good analogy. Her fingerprints are on everything that has made me me. 🙂
Hugs!
Beth
Thank you 🙂
