Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Gal 6:9
I have been hyper-busy the last few weeks. I yearn to share here more, but a few videos of what I have been up to will have to suffice for this week:
First, I have been on a Walk To End Alzheimer’s Tour d’Walk lately. 3 weeks ago I attended the Joplin Walk, 2 weeks ago was the Lake of the Ozarks Walk and last week was our Springfield (Mo.) Walk. They were all three amazing in their own ways! I probably saw 2000 +/- people between the three holding promise garden flowers and my heart was overflowing more than words can say. I swapped out my yellow flower for yet another purple one symbolically and each were bittersweet in that process.
We had a wonderful resource event Saturday in First Baptist Church of West Plains. Here is the video from our TV spot that explained it:

Here are practice videos I did of the breakouts I offered:
and this one:
Here are some pix of the event. I looked as sleepy as I was 😉

We had a lot of fun and got to help many folks in a county with fewer options than I am blessed with in Greene County. It was a joy! My heart is full even though the rest of me is pooped. 🙂
Later this month I have another hop skip and jump to Wash U for my every other year longitudinal study sessions. I will certainly update you in that as well. 🙂
I will try hard to find a stride where I can post here on a regular basis again soon. In the meantime, if I can help, please email me at mark.applegate@senioragemo.org or call/text me at 417-955-2513.
Thank you all for attending Walks, for donating to my crazy events, and for linking arm-in-arm in this fight to #EndALZ
This has been a very busy month not including the 5 support groups and other tabling. However, what I do in a month isn’t a drop in the bucket compared to what a 24/7 caregiver does in a single day.
Blessings,
Mark
