Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. 24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[a]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.
32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:22-34
Hi all! Happy Friday-ish day for many of us looking into the holiday chasm. If you are a full-time caregiver, thank you for doing what you do. I realize that vacations are a pie in the sky many days, but know this: you are appreciated by me and everyone at the Cornbread table. 🙂 Today I need to leave early, so I recorded a little piece that could have been a Top-10, but the schedule precluded me. (Putting the shoehorn down for a bit) I will be posting a lot on social media and some on the websites, but I also need to be in the moment with my wonderful family as well. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. You are loved!

I kinda dig this odometer reading. “Digital”, by definition, is all 0s and 1s, which, for a brief bit, is Tempo One’s mileage….and will be a few more times over the next 11,111.1 miles. In the same way, I try hard to keep this article as all 1s and 0s, as simple as complex topics can be. I am not a pro, but I learn more every day and I always covet your grace. 🙂
I also recorded this one last night in honor of the Longest Day:
Sorry these are a bit melancholy-ish. It has been a long year… I will be back to my peppy self after a few days of a break coming soon. 🙂
Update: Not much. I will go see mom this morning. It is always nice to see her. It will brighten my day. 🙂 Cherish every minute you get…you never know when it will be the last.
If you would like to beat the early year rush, please make a donation to the Longest Day and SeniorAge fundraiser I will be doing in June. I have a very high goal this year and I am just starting now to raise funds. I hate asking for money, but it will take a lot to beat this disease sooner than later. Half goes to my Longest Day fundraiser and a half to SeniorAge, my non-profit colleagues who do tremendous work for seniors in 17 counties in southern Missouri and beyond. Read about them here: LINK
I will be running a two-day event in June…double last year’s event. I will run (day 1) the full Frisco Highline Trail from Bolivar to Springfield. The next morning, I will wake up, brush my teeth, and then run back. This would be hard for real runners. (Roughly 37 miles each way, on the longest days of the year…) For a dad-bod like me, it will be super hard. Better said: One way was hard…two may be a shark jump that ends IN THE SHARK instead of at the other side…we shall see. It is worth every step to try if we can raise some funds that speed up a cure even a second closer! Thank you for your support. VERY MUCH. 🙂 In training, I have run a 5k every day so far in December. I am at about 74 miles as of today…the approximate amount of miles I will do in 2 days in the summer. (Gulp). January I will resume a normal schedule. February I will try a 10k per day. I have to get ready…Thank you sooooo for your support in my wellness journey too. Remember with me…”What’s good for your heart is good for your brain!”

Remember believers, heaven awaits. I cling to this with my eternity, and the Christmas season and the hope of the Christ child is a beautiful picture of this promise. Join me in celebrating, in advance of a cure, this place with no dementia…
