Hi all! I hear robins and squirrels outside my home office window serenading me loudly this fine (early) morning. Thanks for sitting with me for a couple of minutes this morning. 🙂 Some days I wake very early and have a lot of time and others, like today, time is short.
Today I just want to pose a question and get your advice. Mother’s day Facetime appointments got gobbled up like a stinkin’ Thanksgiving cranberry loaf before I could get one, so I can’t tell mom Happy Mother’s day on the day. The nursing home rejects things sent as gifts now too. My options are thin as is my time with mom.
Should we try to do a window visit, or would the situation confuse her? She sort of recognizes us on Facetime, but it has been 54 days since we have seen her in person. She may recognize us but not know why we can’t get closer than the window. Honestly, I am not sure they would let us anyway…but it is worth a consideration.
Thank you all for your thoughts. Post them in the comments or in the Facebook comment area! 🙂

Update at 1pm: I lucked out and get a 15 minute call at 3pm Mother’s Day! 🙂 The topic is still important, though. 🙂
Mark, the exact day doesn’t matter. To you it does, but not to her. Even if she doesn’t nw who you are (and she might), Mother’s Day matters to you. I’d see if you could do Facetime on a different day.
I have one the day before and after. Just 5 minutes ago I found out that they are squeezing me in Sunday now too 🙂 Woot!!!
I’m glad you get to spend time with your mom on Mother’s Day.
Any Day with her is a celebration!
❤
Thank you 🙂
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ONE OF THE GREAT MOM’S
Thank you! She is indeed!
