Sadly, as SeniorAge disaster coordinator for our region, I will be booked the rest of the day and cannot finish the beginning of this series. This title is a hint of my next two week’s pieces that will start dropping over the weekend, Lord willin’. 🙂 Mom, as of yesterday at lunch, is on lock down for all visitors until at least the end of the month due to the pandemic. She “is in the hole”….in solitary (with her roomie)…in lock up. Of course we are concerned. We are not to the point of breaking her out through a hole in the wall yet, but it is in the range of options. 😉
Stay tuned and I will blast a nice birdcage liner for you over the weekend. 🙂
Thank you all! Keep fighting to #EndALZ
Update: She was fine as of lunch yesterday and by phone all seems fine now. 🙂
Work update for locals: SeniorAge has closed the senior centers in our area through the end of the month to the public (during our hours). We will continue to deliver meals as normal and will offer drive up options for seniors who usually eat on site. Stay tuned for current info or text/call me at 417-955-2513 if you have questions about the SeniorAge centers. Several other regions in Missouri and elsewhere have also closed. Check with your local Area Agency on Aging for info on possible temporary closures. Thanks all!
If you are in Missouri and are concerned that you have been exposed to the CoronaVirus, please call the state’s 24 hour hotline: 877-435-8411. The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services mans this number and were very helpful when I called for information to tell my seniors. This is a Missouri-Only hotline, so check in your state for a similar resource.
