Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues. –Proverbs 10:19
This post you may very well get what you paid for from my free blog. 🙂 I am speechless. The nursing home, shorthanded and jarred by a COVID-19 tsunami, forgot/didn’t have anyone available for my video call with mom last week…on her 2 year anniversary of being in the nursing home. I am not mad, frustrated, or any real emotion about them…just at the situation. I hate that another one of the precious weeks she has left was spent wondering how she is doing. We can call, but it isn’t the same. This has been a truly tough year. 🙁
Update: None.
Dad Joke of the day: None.
WW Update: I lost another 1+ pounds. I am in the mid-90s now in weight loss…so at least there’s that. 🙂
Sorry, folks, for the doom and gloom. I just want this whole situation to improve. It is hard on mom, the couple of the Sweet 17 still with us, and the millions out there in the same boat. I am just glad there isn’t political problems or oversized hornets to think about. 😉
Have a great week all! You all mean the world to me.

Our monthly Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group meets tomorrow from 6-7pm. I would be delighted to send you a Zoom link if you have questions, feedback, need to share a problem, or anything else with or near the topic. I wish I had more time to do them more often because I too am always blessed with how they go. 🙂 My email address is mark.applegate@senioragemo.org or, if you prefer to call/text, my cell is 417-955-2513. Have a wonderful week, friends. 🙂
Are you a member of the “Missouri Caregivers for Compromise…Because Isolation Kills Too”?
In Texas this organization got our governor to open up nursing home to Essential caregivers, which include inside visits by appointment with no touching restrictions. We have over 2,000 members.
I am a member. I appreciate the work the group is doing on that side of the argument. It is a huge challenge.
