For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths. –Proverbs 5:21
I am still on our rainy vacation and am away from my ability to write a long-form post here. I really needed some time like this to cool my jets. Tomorrow, rain or shine, I will hit the road for a long run day. I am going to leave the distance open and just run until I cannot run any more. This week, being all sorts of weird on the normally military-precision schedule. I only got in one decent run although I sure walked a million miles. Tomorrow will be interesting to say the least.
Our fundraiser hit the $4,000 mark on a goal of $5280. 🙂 Coming along nicely. Pre-orders for the T-Shirts must me placed by Tuesday at noon CST. Here is the T-Shirt link:
Short Sleeve Tee – SeniorAge and Alzheimer’s Association – Creator Designs
The more we sell, the less we have to pay for the shirts on all of them and the more profit, 100% of which hits the fundraiser toot sweet!
Update: Mom isn’t doing great these days. She sleeps nearly 24/7 and rarely opens her eyes. The Director of Nursing says it is another facet of the progression of the disease. She is a fighter and she is still smiling when we come (when we talk loud) kind of like someone asleep and dreaming. In the meantime, hope, pray, and dream with me for a cure. We need to #EndALZ now. Regardless, we do know that sunny days are coming again….they always do. 🙂
Last note: Our Caregiver’s Support Group will be Tuesday night at 6pm CST. I will email links soon as it will be held on Zoom. Holler at me if you would like a link. 417-955-2513 by call or text or mark.applegate@senioragemo.org by email. Next month the hope is to hold it the normal week (the 3rd Tuesday of the month) in person at the SeniorAge office. Stay tuned for updates as they unfold, but it looks good. 🙂
