It is hard in one respect to hear mom struggle playing, saying “I can’t find it” a lot when she plays. However, playing still brings her joy and it helps the Sweet 17 too. Mom has became a mother figure in many ways to many of the Sweet 17 even though she is a tad younger than most of them. They are OK with her missing some notes. Amazingly she can still sing too even though she goes through large sections of her week without being able to accurately formulate a sentence.
Oh, what I would give for some old footage of mom playing! She was quite a player and could sing too! Someday, in heaven, given a more than repaired body, she will dazzle again.
