Posted 12-21-22 (Yes, I like the number sequence of the date today. Did you have to ask? 🙂 It reminds me of this: LINK )
Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. -James 4:14
Today is the Winter Solstice. Here is some info:

I am not a believer in all of the Astrology and wives’ tale stuff about this date, but I am a believer in the need to cure Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Tonight we celebrate, if you will, our loved one’s battle by lighting a luminary. Here is mine from last year: LINK Today is the shortest day of the year which, in many ways, reminds me of the last nearly 5 years with mom in the nursing home. It feels like it is at the cross-section of the shortest and the longest days, as if that was possible. Every day flies by, but she has struggled so long that it seems like an eternity of pre-grief. Welcome to dementia. It is located at the intersection of Gazelle Trafficway and Slug Lane.
I hope to see mom tonight on the way home tonight in advance of the Blizzard of 2022. Hopefully the snowstorm finishes off the Murder Hornets. 🙂
Regardless, I wish you a healthy and a Happy Christmas and a Spiffy New Year. Hold fast, friends, help is on the way, and it ain’t Santa. 🙂
